Friends, like all of you, i have been waiting for this movie to release. Have been watching Tamil Movie "I " trailer, getting excited, getting charged can't wait to watch the movie - first day first show in Delhi - Finally got the centre seat - excitement going high.
In the morning, I stopped myself from reading online review, didn't let my friends tell me anything about the movie, before I watch it myself. i wanted my excitements to unfold and burst my movie bubbles as i watch the movie and am very happy about how it busted with few tiny disappointments.
In theatre there are advertisements screened, after a while, finally I see censor board certificate - Tamil movie “I” film. Uh, excitement level goes further up and am glued to my seat, neck sticks out, eyes wide open, ears ready to hear the sound. Audience are whistling, shouting their lungs out...
First shot, actress Amy Jackson in Indian wedding dress, immediately after few minutes we see Vikram in his avatar of “hunchbacked man”. Opps, it got revealed so fast – uh lets wait for more till the end of the film.
The movie unfolds very nicely, movie is shot in flashback sometimes and sometimes shows the presence its pretty nice but, just once or twice I felt bit uncomfortable to link the story especially just before the interval.
Vikram’s attitude as a macho man is clearly seen when he had argument with the other bodybuilder and shows he is clear about his mission in life. Vikram’s body is awesome, mind-blowing or maybe there is no word to express what physic he built for this movie – oh my god! Just could not believe-it but he had perfect physic. Fight scene in the gym is another bonus, it was more than enough but still its so perfectly done and if you want more fight, your wish will be fully satisfied here. Simply maaza agaya bhai ! Vikram behaving like a true body builder is seen on every scene, it was really good – it shows his life ambition was clearly to be Mr. TN. When he had to dance or do style steps, he doesn’t know anything than showing his awesome muscles – truly applauded!
Vikram’s madras slang spoken tamil was so good – he did very well. The best is when he says ‘madam’ fun!
My simple disappointment was when I realised the beast is the fantasy and doesn’t have a role in the movie. I really wish beast had a role – oh my god – imagine the power of such a scene. I was wrong to compare the film with Enthiran / Robot. The movie is really good but, not above or equal to robot. Still the movie is worth watching for vikram’s acting as hunchbacked man and as a body builder.
Revenge is the theme which has been casted well, unfolds neatly. Movie does touch upon slightly with a virus called “I” – that’’s the title of the film. The moment when vikram knows he has been fooled by getting injected a virus “I”, his acting is touching! Then comes the complete revenge approach and thrill of the film.
A R Rahman music is fine, nothing extraordinary. Jokes are spontaneous and nice – I did had good laugh couple of few times. Songs are nice.
Vikram acted excellently as a bodybuilder and as a model and above all as a hunchbacked man.
Overall the Movie is really good!!
Go for it – it’s worth watching at least for the sake we have been waiting for this film for years…!
