Hi all,
Just got my Xing (1 day) and I am here giving you advice (what a joke?). Well, these are my initial views and will update with reality in future.
My first impression, Hyundians have done it again. Santro was just becoming a car next door…so how do u add life…. Voila add Xing to life J
The Santro once an odd shaped car, in its Xing avatar comes with geometric shape and tempting curves. First, I thought it's a cross between a Wagon R and a Palio and it even looks like smaller version of Pajero; My verdict, ''The design is excellent and is bound turn faces when u drive it'' full marks to Hyundai.
So what's new (Design)?
The exterior has been changed completely. You need to see it to understand. Body mouldings have become an integrated part. The Xing has two brake lights on either side and it sports a rear-speaker tray. Models above XS (LS) have internally adjustable mirrors and boot lamp. The new grille really smiles and adds to its European feel. The new clear headlight looks like hijacked from Palio and looks really neat.
So what's new (Mechanical)?
NOTHING...They tell me that the braking system has been enhanced. Needs to be seen.
Overall, I think it's worth the change. Pricing wise it varies from 10k to 14 k hike depending on the model. If you are planning to buy a Santro now I suggest you go for the Xing for the following reasons:
1.Resale value
2.European design
3.Old model is too common
To put it in one line, ''OLD WINE IN NEW BOTTLE''...but it tastes good...so what r u waiting for????
