After a week long research on different cars I freezed on Vista (limited edition). Turely a good car. But since my girlfriend also had to drive the car and we found Vista to be a bit bulky and stiff for her we moved to i10. Parametres which we looked was pricing for comparative cars; features; milleage; aditional benifits and space.

I purchased my first car i10 ....on Jan 21th 2009. On the very third day I drove it to Vizag from Hyderabad along with my friends. A the Car was new so we dint push it beyond 80 KMPH for first 500 kms; then onwards 100 was the average throughout NH9 and NH5. It gave us a handsome 16.5 KMPL (AC switched on for 200 kms). During my drive to Vizag I realised moving to reverse gear was not smooth. When we were back from Vizag, it was already due for first servicing.

So when I dropped in for servicing I complained regarding the reverse gear problem. All that I could hear from the Servicing Centre was that the problem with most of the cars. "Sir you should first move it to the first gear and then reverse gear". I wondered why I dint face the problem during my previous 5 years of driving. Anyways then on a ussual drive to my office when I switched on the AC I also realised that the response to pick-up was poor (with AC switched on) specially when four of them are there in the Car. I guess 1100 cc \ 50 ps is less to satisfy me.

To add to the asthetics I put in 175-70 R13 ... 5.5" alloy wheels with Pirelli on it. Grip was superb but at the cost of stiff steering. Trust me the alloys look neat on it. I guess I would suggest a 5" alloy on i10 just to maintain a balance between grip and smooth steering. And no upsizing on i10 as it would touch the side walls.
