I bought this laptop from USA with a "World wide warranty". But in fine prints they did not have that with lots of reasons. Since the day I bought this its HD started erroring and it is logged in HPs own tool. They have MSWindows already occupying part of HD> This does not let is use the hard disk with full control. They assemble this piece in china and gets us no support in India.
So if you are planning on a HP laptop read the fine prints on its warranty.
I demand HP to sell products with more sincerity.
I bought this in May 2006. Other problems with this are Caps lock getting stuck. There are lots of ads and stuff on the pre-installed windows.
Its paint on the front is bad quality, it faded away in the 1st two months.
When I emailed them, they came out with lot of comments without answering my questions directly. I exchanged a couple of emails. I stopped communicating with them after a couple of email exchanges. But they did not take my problem positively. Now I am left with this laptop. This one is AMD turion 64 bit and I have 1 GB memory on it.
