I could not find the product category I had bought(HP Pavillion 15-n006Ax) so writing the review here.

Like many others I thought that HP would be a decent buy. Their prices are cheaper than Dell, which was my first choice. But how wrong I was. I had bought laptop in Dec 2012 and am already frustrated with their customer support.

Visit their Facebook page and see hordes of others being harassed by HP customer support.

I had bought a HP pavilion laptop on Dec 12th from Jumbo Electronics NOIDA. I was offered a promotion wherein I had to pay Rs 1499 to get extended warranty for two years (which was worth Rs 5000 otherwise).

To claim the extended warranty I had to submit product barcode cutout from packaging, Invoice, ID proof and a DD of Rs 1499. These documents had to be physically couriered to their address. After doing all of the above I get an email on 10th Feb that my claim has been rejected because there is name mismatch on invoice and registration claim. Which was clearly not the case.

There is no phone number where I can contact them. I have sent numerous emails, raised a customer support case on their website but no reverts. Instead they have closed the case in 3 days without resolution. I went to their Facebook page and I see this is a rampant practice by them. They have rejected claims of many others on false grounds and then closed doors for customers to contact back.

Moral of the story: Spend some more bucks and buy Dell. Some extra bucks spent will give you a lot of peace of mind.
