Story:

Ajay Ahuja's slim book puts together the wealth of online information about how one can make money online. He has rigorously collated the necessary and sufficient tips that are given as advice, using which one can, apparently, earn a lot of money via the Internet.

Along with this free dispensing of how-tos, we are also blessed with frequent links to connect with him. In other words, to really get things going one would have to turn to him. To be fair, at many a point, he has a heading which claims that even if you cannot do as he said a little previously, here is the simplest way to go about it.

Unfortunately for me, I do not have things to sell, nor, really, services. I write for the joy of writing and could not find anything in his book which would teach me how to make a fortune by writing. As such, even if you're a really good writer, in India, you'd have to start out at some Rs 150 for some 500 words and consider yourself lucky. There are even those who expect a thousand words for that amount. And that is the least of the grouses I have about the whole thing. You'd also have to write without recourse to the Internet as these pay masters are so dumb they use online plagiarism checks without using their brains. I've had a situation here on MS where a young lady accused me of plagiarism.  I promptly checked my article on MS and found that all the places which were marked led back to my other writings online. Thus she could accuse me of copying from myself. Except that she, like those wonderful employers who blindly use plagiarism checks, doesn't know what to do next when she sees the so called plagiarised parts highlighted. But all that is another story!

Coming back to Mr. Ahuja, some of his guidelines might be outdated as, today, folks get bugged by ads. I, for example, use Adblock to prevent online ads from spoiling my experience online.

However, this book is a great insight into the business of selling online and, while it may not cover recent developments, it is a good handbook for any startup, entrepreneur or individual looking to launch into online business.
