How do you know?
Starring Reese Weatherspoon, this is a delight to the eyes and senses. And the discovery of a lifetime is Paul Ruud, so cute, and so endearing. And so fake is Matty in the movie, that it hardly takes any time for Lisa to determine true love from false.
Ok, so the movie revolves around careers, partners, conflicts, triangles, and the fact that love takes a lot of work. And surprisingly, these stars and characters are shown thinking! Wow, so they can think; and all three of them, oops four, how could I forget Sr Nicholson Sir, can bloody well act, not bad at all!
So, our really extra good looking, and good virtued guy Paul, is almost packed off by his family and company, and his only hope left is a girl who loves someone else. So, ever so endearingly, he decides to wager a last ditch attempt that will decide whether he and his dad are to be arrested or not.
And all his honest loving pays off, when the girl of his dreams, just walks out of her partner’s life, and waltzes into his. So, they both, currently in the worst situations of their lives, get united and get to help each other out.
Lisa is a baseball champ, but due to her love affair, gets pipped out of the team. Her partner then is also a baseball player, dishy, dashing, and oh, so extra rich, that he has stacks and stacks of track suits, hats, toothbrushes etc waiting for their assembly line owners to want them.
I think the movie is lovable, and so is the theme. I love all their acting, and Paul is refreshingly alluring, what with those melting eyes, and a smile that refuses to fade.
For once, urban life in the West makes you want to live there, despite all the various problems, and quirky people. And I was so happy with conclusion that the best guy in the room gets the best girl in the country! He, he, he! Some love stories turn you off, and some turn you on, like how!
