Last summer, me and family visited Puri, which is located in Odisha. We were a total of 8 members and we checked into the Hotel Puri Beach Resort. The hotel ran an advance booking in association with Oriental Bank of Commerce and hence we had booked two rooms of the hotel for as low as Rs.700 each for four nights.
Hotel Puri Beach Resort is located in the Marine Drive Road, Swargadwar. Swargadwar is located just beside the main Puri beach. The hotel is a fascinating fusion of luxury and comfort. Few very noticeable things about the hotel that makes it an ideal choice for tourists visiting this region are:
Location - Hotel Puri Beach Resort is located just beside the beach. The hotel provides a splendid view to the beach from its rooms and the scenery at night, when the darkness fuses with the water and moonlight, is breathtaking. The famous Jaganath temple which is a major tourist attraction of Puri is just 2 Km away from the hotel and can be reached via auto-rickshaw. Puri station is also at a close proximity to the hotel which makes it an ideal choice for everyone. The Puri Beach is at a walking distance from the hotel and we often used to stroll by during the night or evening.
Rooms and Room Service – Incase the advance booking is not done, the hotel charges around Rs.1000 a night which varies from season to season. For a money as such, the hotel provides luxurious rooms. Rooms are spacious enough with a bed that can accommodate four persons easily. The bathrooms are fully tiled from top to bottom and cleanly kempt. Every room is provided with a water bucket, television set and pair of beddings. Room service is great as there is a maid who used to arrive every morning and evening to clean the rooms. For every query, the room service guy can be called.
Staffs, Management and Services – I believe every hotel is just like a home which we occupy for a temporary period. Hence the staffs and management’s behavior is vital when it comes to staying there. Hotel Puri Beach Resort has the friendliest of people we had ever come across. They used to speak Bengali which we could highly relate to being Bengali ourselves and we developed a great proximity with them. Talking about services, the hotel is elite in its services and doesn’t require a description because what we experienced is satisfactory.
Food, Parking, Rent – During our four days stay in Puri, we never felt the need to order food from outside. The hotel has its personal food court with a specialty of sea food and fish recipes. The chefs working there do a great job and for finger licking foods, we had to look no further other than this. Every food we ordered, be it a meal or some snack items were reasonably priced and equally tasty.
Other than an in-built restaurant, Hotel Puri Beach Resort has a parking space for customers with vehicles. The parking space easily accommodates several vehicles. Besides, rent of the hotel is not too high either.
Recommendation – There are several hotels in Puri which are priced around this range but very few provide services as good as Hotel Puri Beach Resort. It is among the most preferred hotels here and we were surely delighted to have stayed here. They didn’t let us complain any bit. I will strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.
