Hello friends. Today I shall narrate you my experience with Hotel Blue View at Old Digha during my Digha trip at the end of the year 2009. It was winter and myself along with my spouse chose to stay at Hotel Blue View, Old Digha since, we had heard that, it was one of the most reputed hotels in Old Digha. Accordingly, we had booked a non-AC room. However, to our utter astonishment we found the room to have uncomfortably inadequate space. We took admission into the room and after a few steps the room ended. But, the most frustrating part of this stay was that, initially we had just intimated at the reception during the time of room booking that, we could stay in the hotel up to three days. But, at the end of a couple of days, we found out that, this Old Digha tour of ours was turning out to be a bit boring. So we decided to end our tour and return back to Kolkata. When we informed the reception that, we wished to pay our bill and leave, they just told us that, since initially we had intimated about a stay plan of three days so we needed to make payment for three days of stay at the hotel. We earnestly requested the hotel staff at the reception not to bill us for three full days and offered to pay additionally for another half a day. But, the staff at the reception was too adamant & rude and paid no heed at all to our requests. He charged us for three full days and we paid the bill and left the hotel in a very bad mood after a bitter brawl with the concerned receptionist.
After this incident my friends, I have decided not to opt for this hotel for any reason whatsoever in case of my future visits to Old Digha. Friends, you will get a lot of good options for lodging in Old Digha but, in my opinion, Hotel Blue View, Old Digha is definitely an worst option.
