This is one place, I would love to visit often and recommend to all mouthshut members from Hyderabad & people those who plan to visit. With live Ghazals in the background, good ambience, North Indian food, this is what Mehfil has come to mean for many people.
Before you enter Mehfil, there is a pastry parlor with alluring pastries, a variety of confectioneries, ice creams and bakery delicacies. Try out their Chocolate Eclairs. Kids & oldies would love the taste.
Mehfil is a multi-cuisine restaurant, and famous for its wide varities of roti's, with India, Chinese & Continental on their menu.
Their menu is bit different from the usual ones. If you are a foodie try out their Shorba, a form of soup. Not much spicy, but tasty.
When I said wide varieties of roti's I meant to say Missi Roti, stuffed Kulchas & my favourite the Kashmir Naan (stuffed with sweet cashew, almond and cherry paste). One Kashmiri Naan is enough for a family of 3.
Try out their Nizami Handi made of spinach & butter or leave it to the Captain to select you the best gravy. You can even taste their Dum ki Biryani, which is a meal in itself. The quantity is enough for a couple, and be sure you don't order much - you can always ask for a parcel later.
For dessert you will find almost every Indian variety - from Qubani-ka-Meeta to Jaffrani Phirni, Bengal Cham Chams to Malai Sandwich. The Mehfil goes live from 8:oo pm onwards. You can have the musicians play your request songs too. Their service is excellent.
I would say you are treated as friends rather than customers and strongly advice this authentic restaurant!!
Do yourself a favour and get down there if you love good food, drink & music or simply want to enjoy the great view and atmosphere.
