During my visit to Hyderabad with my family in Nov 2008, I stayed at this hotel. The hotel was chosen on the basis of the information provided on their website : https://ashokaklaasic.com/
If anyone is travelling to Hyderabad on vacation, holiday or business and is looking for very comfortable stay, professional and customer friendly service, promptness, cleanliness and good service - then please DON'T stay at this hotel.
You will get everything, except the above.
The information provided on their website is only to attract people/customers. The photos shown on the website under the option "Rooms" are either made-up or fake. The hotel is nicely located on Kachiguda station road and close to the shopping area. That's the only positive side about it. They claim to have rooms with air-conditioning and 24-hrs hot and cold water.
My experience was the opposite. During my stay here, I had to change rooms twice to get both the luxuries.
The central AC in the rooms on second floor was tripping every now and then. There was no cooling during nights. So we were shifted to rooms with split ACs on 3rd floor.
In the new rooms on 3rd floor- so called Delux AC rooms - the AC was ok but the telephone was not working.
In these Delux rooms we had only hot boiling water in the bathroom on the first day. We complained about it. As a result, for the next two days, we only had cold water in the bathroom. We complained again. Unfortunately, we checked out the next day as they could not fix the problem.
In room no.316 the bathtub was leaking, when we drained it the whole bathroom was flooded with water.
The cleanliness is their last priority. The housekeeping is pathetic. They do not use vacuum cleaners, don't give good towels. The bedsheets are torn and soiled. The blankets stink.
For a change, they do not allow to make phone calls from the room telephone.
The room service bills are always collected in cash everyday. In my case, the room boys were waking me late-night (past 10:30 pm) to collect it. The "Do not disturb" light outside the rooms has no meaning.
The hotel management does not have courtesy for customers, especially when we faced so many problems. Our complaints were recorded in their feedback book, we don't know why.
Stay here only if you must, and as I said before, if you don't expect anything except a bed to sleep.
