I had a very unpleasant experience during and after my vacation stay at this hotel - Angel's inn. I would never suggest it to anyone.
I went to Angel's Inn hotel with my husband on our first marriage anniversary and had a stay of 3 days.
The service part was terribly pathetic and we faced various troubles due to that during our vacation.
The power often got cut off and although they had generator, they did not started it during the morning, noon and evening. When we asked the reason they said, we don't expect our guest to stay in hotel during the day time(with a smile).
Also the intercom facility was not working and we had to go down to reception for any request, which was again a pain while we were on vacation to enjoy the holidays.
The worst part is yet to come where they lied to us and forcibly halted our vacation.
We were on the way from manali to chandigarh by car as we had planned the trip with the trip planner. We were supposed to pay to the trip planner and she would pay to all the hotels and travel agent(car) involved during our trip. We had agreement of paying the last installment on the last day in chandigarh although we were told that its even fine to pay after the trip. While we were going from manali to chandigarh, the trip planner and the owner had some conversation and the trip planner asked the owner of Angel's inn to directly take the payment from us.
We were traveling and were facing network issues so we even requested to pay by net banking or online as soon as we reach chandigarh as we would get the network.
However, the owner of Angel's inn called us up and LIED to us that our bags seems to have been exchanged with their other guest and asked us to return back. We were absolutely sure that all bags were in place and told the same that our luggage is fine. But she insisted and she asked the driver over the call to stop the trip and we were on roads for 2 hours waiting for her during our anniversary trip. After around 2 hours she came and asked us to pay her the remaining amount to her instead of trip planner.
We explained her what happened and that it was very very ugly to have such an experience. I even asked her that the bag exchange was just a reason to stop our trip or was that the real reason to which she even apologized for lying and stopping our trip for wrong reason. After all, we were so fed up that we paid the amount to her in cash and let her go but I would never be able to forget this worst experience during my first marriage anniversary.
It was like a nightmare to be on roads for 2 hours while on vacation to enjoy the holidays. I felt my entire vacation got spoiled and wasted and felt very unsafe during that time.
The only good thing about this hotel - angel's inn was its food. The owner personally used to keep a check on it.
I would suggest to avoid this hotel based on my experience.
