Hope or Hum is a hindi film directed by Sudip Bandhyopadhay and in main lead role actor's are Naseeruddin Shah, Sonali Kulkarni, Naveen Kasturia, Aamir Bashir, Kabir Sajid.
In this film Sudip tries to explore different stages of family like some memorable moment, some striking moment and some fleeting moments through three generations of the Srivastava family.
The family dramatization Hope or Hum is all things considered only that. An enecdote about giving up of material connection fears and a desire to control one's predetermination. The subjects are rehashed again and again as Hope or Hum takes the watchers on a ride through Nagesh's family. While his children are managing adult's issue's, his little grandson Anu(Kabir Sajid) is encompassed by his own powerful show.
After Naseeruddin shah, the minor on screen - character, Kabir Sajid has the most screen time in the motion picture. Maybe because of one of its subjects, the see-saw between the'old and the new'.
In the middle of the extremes there are parallel storylines running in the film, which influences the watcher to ponder what does it truly wish to pass on! What everyone of these storylines have in like manner are banalities like confronting one's fate and old is gold. With pictures of death, end and recovery, the film is honored with some heart-touching minutes and common exhibitions by Shah, Kabir and Sonali Kulkarni.
In the primary a large portion of these same adages look endearing. With the world turning materialistic hopeless, these subjects inspire an emotional response as Nagesh comments about old things - "Bekaar nahi Yadgaar". In any case when Mamaji's 40 years old vintage auto seprates in the film, you expect that the imagery maybe evoked once more. Furthermore, well it is.
After the interim, it turns redundant and exhausting. You simply trust that everyone of these storylines in the long run consolidate some place and give the film a significant end.
What's more the film comes back in circle and end everything began in trust.
