I was waiting for this bike for a while as believe I am true honda cult. Dazzler's absence of kick start forced me to wait. a bit longer.

The came up for sale indian markets in 2013 and I bought it in Jan'2014.

I have completed 7000KM in 6 months.

(PLUS)

  1. The bike has really awesome ground clearance so great for indian roads.

  2. A breeze to ride in traffic, thanks to the smooth clutch and gear shifts. Also very easy to ride around the corners while breaking(Even better than other bikes like FZ, NS).

3.  Awesome braking performance.

  1. Very comfortable rider posture esp for commuter based riding. Comfortable seats for pillon.

  2. The dashboard is very compact.

  3. Best in class service compared to Yam, Bajaj or Suzuki.

  4. Best in class millage. In the crappy Bangalore traffic I get between 52 to 54KMPL. Highway around 58KMPL provide you abuse the bike by revving it every now and then.:)

  5. The chain is covered hence does not get dirty easily like other naked bikes.

  6. Kick start is much easier than the FZ or the NS.

  7. The parts more reliable in quality so you stand less chance from going to the service centre to repair it.(Again a comparison to FZ, GSX or NS).

(MINUS)

  1. Lack of colours. White is never available(my favorite colour:(). The red is less red and more maroon!

  2. Top end is around 110kmph. The bike fails to pull smoothly post 80KMPH and is pretty unstable.

  3. The seat latch is a pain. And you need to hit it every time you need close it.

  4. Engine is not as smooth as its previous versions(2005 version Unicon). Feels more like a Hero Vehicle:(

  5. The fuel tank petrol overflow value is a safety feature which more than safety acts as a big pain. You can never top up your tank!

  6. Single piece tank is an issue for replacement and costs.

  7. Looks suck!(May be this is subjective, but this my take esp on the LED tail lights)

  8. The seat for pillion is a bit higher so climbing and getting off is a issue esp for folks shorter than 5' 9'.

  9. Pickup is definitely slower than the FZ.

  10. No engine kill switch.

  11. The light switch placement is so inconvenient and screwed up.

  12. The choke is primitive compared to the usual honda class.

  13. The body make looks pretty flimsy.

Though there are quite a lot of negatives you might see but the PLUS are major contributor for me to decide over FZ, GSX or NS. Hence I rate it better than the nearest competitor. Though FZ is my favorite when compared to body quality and value for money!

*PS: For people thinking how I compared the trigger with NS, FZ and GSX?

I have friends & colleagues who have bought the other bikes.:)*
