My review is as an employee.
I worked here for a short time and left for another newspaper. I worked in the advertising department.
It was a different environment here from my previous company, so I it was difficult to adjust and fit in.
But gradually I found everyone supportive, including the HR team and marketing team. My job profile involved providing back-office support to marketing team. But there was some limitation with regard to the level of creativity and what we could create and share with the team. This was probably due to the constant load of work and pressure from above.
You would be working on one project and another one would come up.
So, neither the team nor the reporting manager had the time for creativity.
If you are going to apply to this company, don't make 1 mistake I made. Don't settle for a normal salary. Ask for a big raise from what you currently are getting. There is a very good chance you will get it. People are paid well in this company!
A good feature about HT is their financial support system for employees. They have some kind of company supported loan system. You have to make small contributions and you can get financial support for things.
The company also has other supportive features like if you are late, they will drop you via company vehicle. There was mess within the branch and I used to have my food there.
HR Department
The HR department is good. They have highly sophisticated system and the VP-HR took my interview via video conferencing. Besides, the local HR person was also quite supportive.
A strange thing I saw was that people as young as me were at DGM & VP levels in this company.
Overall, working in a brand like HT has big reputation, but I had to move on because of lack of flexibility and due to a better offer from another company.
