Dream bike. Review on Hero Honda Splendor

First of all, I should admit that this is my dream bike. I dreamt of owning this one and now I am proud owner of it. I loved it simply because of its look and now I liked it because of its mileage. To My opinion it is by far the best bike in its class (i.e., 100 cc).

The advantages of this bike are: Mileage, simple aerodynamics, look, cost, etc.

Now for the disadvantages: The main disadvantage with Splendor is its key i.e., most of the splendors can be opened with someone's else's key. To eloborate this, there will be serial numbers in the keys which start with A, B, C etc. So the keys that start with A can open the side lock of all the splendors that have the serial number that starts with A. This, I have personally tested with some of my friends.

The same goes for passion also. (I doubt that this is the same case for all Hero Honda bikes.) To avoid theft, I would suggest all splendor owners to have fork lock for their bikes. I have one. Apart from this, the other problem I face with splendor is its spares which are very costly compared to other brands like TVS, Bajaj, etc. Since the number of splendors that ply on Indian road is very high, the quality of service in service centers are also not up to the mark, since they have to service more bikes on a given day.

Apart from this, I don't find any problem with Splendor, after all this is the largest selling bike in the world. This is really a dream bike for me.
