Hii friends, honda to me is silent , smooth, maintenence free, reliable, dependable engine which is time tested. The CBZ was launched in 1998-99 and was an emense success looking at the market for bikes of over 150cc at that time. its dropdead loooks and great finish was the main attracter. however it has come a long way since then. we have the popular 150cc Pulsar and the Likes of Yamaha Enticer 125cc now and many other new bikes to compete. I bought my bike around one and a half year ago and then was looking at a Pulsar, Ambition, Eliminator, Thunderbird, Victor, even the Freedom I did the test ride of all the above bikes and spoke to my friends and acquintances of their experiences. well it was a difficult choice Pulsar although seems attractive buy but I found its gear shifting verry cranky, and not at all smooth, adding too its not so good finnish at the handle bar and dials. also there were some issues with the actual economy and the company claims as my frends who ahd pulsar were getting around 40 KMPL which is more or less the saem as that of the CBZ. the ambition was a bike for those who wanted a little more than Passion but not a CBZ but I hated its design outright. the eliminator is a good bike if u can afford to buy it and then maintain it also as it has around 25 to 30 KMPL average and the Thunderbird is a Bullet afterall so it has its problems of regular maintenance and finding the right mechanic to repair so a little hassle in emergencies not to forget the milleage which is around 30KMPL. the victor has a hollow feeling engine u feel the engine has a small heart and the enticer has vibrations at 60 kms and over and a wrong bike to use in the rains as the engine is not so protected to prevent the water to go inside. CBZ gave me the gr8 stable feel, good brakes with a humble 40 -45KMPL average with great finish and styling. add Alloy wheels and feel the difference. the black color is a killer. it goes stably on 100km verry easily without engine running out of steam. and is verry steady giving great pleasure at top speads.
