I rode my uncle's Ambi which has done 48,000 kms and I was amazed with his positive feedback , I bought new Ambi in 2004, She has done 23,500 kms and still in great shape. Salient features that is superb,
Starting : I've not kicked the crank more than once. 90% of the times it starts with half kick even in cold condition('B'lore winters)
Mileage : In B'lore traffic it returns 50-55 kmpl almost equal to my old Passion. I've not tested on highways but it should give a cool 60 KMPL.
Power/Acceleration: You can zip like 150 CC bike w/o any issues, You'll feel proud to zip past Unicorns & Pulsars. Top speed on my meter was 95 km/hr.
Suspension/Comfort/Handling : This is amazing feature of Ambi, My back pain has reduced to great extent. Handling is very good, you'll feel you are riding a 80 Kilo bike.
HH Badge : Servicing at HH service station is very good, so far I have changed brake pads of front & Rear wheel and nothing else.
Re-sale : Though the production has stopped the res-sale value is very good, recently Imy frnd sold 2003 Ambi (32,00 km done) for Rs.37K He upgraded to Karizma.
The production of this beauty has stopped due to low volume sales, which I can't understand.
