You must be a fan of the Hellboy stories by marvel comics to fully get a grasp the story's premise. While I'm not a fan of "Hellboy" and barely have a true grip on its storyline I enjoy and appreciate the story's concept of a demon found in hell at birth, adopted, and raised by humans and transformed into a super hero, & fighter of crime. In all of the Hellboy series his mission has been to free the earth from an underground world of mutants, and monsters who invade our plant. In this second installment of “Hellboy 2 the Golden Army” we see just that.
"Helloboy 2 the Golden Army" brings on lots of spoofs, stunningly visual surprises that catches the human eye with amazement. I found the visuals of odd creatures, and mutants to be a bit much and over done. In this movie director Guillermo del Toro brings in more extravagant costumes, and make up as he did in “Hellboy”, and his award wining motion picture “Pan's Labyrinth”. “Hellboy 2 the Gold Army” offers endless adventure good acting from the cast, a not so bad story line that works quite well along with astounding special and visual effects.
Synopsis of Movie

The eminent demon and super hero Hellboy do battle with the ancient evil dictator and his foragers to save the earth and humankind from destruction, and death.
Movie goers can look forward to a fun filled time at the movies when watching “Hellboy 2 the Golden Army”. As previously mentioned this movie offers lots spectacular visuals, special effects, good acting from the cast, and sound effects. The most captivating elements in this movie are its costumes, make up, stage props, and nicely done action scenes. Lead star Ron Perlman in his portrayal as Hellboy brings on a bundle of excitement, good acting and laughs along with an entourage of cast members that deliver good acting roles. "Hellboy 2 and The Golden Army" is worth a watch.
