I had initiated purchase of HDFC Standard Life's Click 2 Protect policy online via their website, but midway I decided to go for another insurance product from another company.
However, since then, HDFC Life is making my life miserable by calling me 1-2 times every day, and emailing me every few days. Each time, I take pains to explain that I have already taken a policy from another insurer, yet there seems to be no impact, because the next day someone else calls and asks the same questions again!
I am now convinced that this is not a case of shoddy management but rather an unethical business practice of putting mental pressure on a potential customer to force them to buy their policy.
I have already complained about this on HDFC Life's Facebook page(refer: https://facebook.com/HDFClife/posts/599349226759183), but no action has been taken yet. I am now lodging a grievance on IRDA website( http://www.igms.irda.gov.in).
I never expected such shoddy behavior by a reputed life insurance company. Their policies are good, no doubt, but they really need to improve their customer engagement.
