Happy Client. Review on HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank was incorporated in August 1994 and it commenced operation sin January 1995. In 1994 The Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited was amongst the first to receive an approval from the Reserve Bank of India to setup a private sector bank.

I am a client of HDFC bank since 2000. Initially my a/c was at Vashi Branch afterward shifted it to New Panvel. New Panvel is still my home branch though I live in Pune. In Pune, mostly I operate from Satara Road Branch. I have all sorts of a/c and transactions with this bank including DMAT.

Service-

Well, I am not a very demanding customer and my transactions are also not that high. But whenever I approached them, any branch, service was fast and transparent. Only 31% members of MS recommend this bank and some are very annoyed about its service. But frankly, I have not faced any problem since beginning.

Debit Card and ATM-

HDFC Bank currently has a nationwide network of 1412 Branches and 3275ATM's in 528 Indian towns and cities. So its ATM card is very handy for travelers and also for shoppers. No bad transaction so far.

*Net Banking-

In the year 2000 net banking was the main attraction to open an account in HDFC Bank. In those days very few banks were having this facility. Net banking of HDFC is not as good as ICICI bank but it’s not bad. Net banking of ICICI may be the best in the country. Net banking of HDFC has basic features like online SB a/c checking, FD a/c opening, credit card payment etc. One can open Fixed deposits online.

One of the features is online password generation if you forget net banking password. Password can be regenerated online without any help of bank employees. With the help of debit card number and PIN one can generate net banking password. You need not wait a week to get new password.

I very strongly feel that they should add more features in net banking like ICICI.

*DEMAT account

Once again, not as good as ICICI but still I am happy with its service and continuing with my account. It has all basic facilities. Their rates are lower than ICICI direct. I have never tried Phone Banking though I have given 3 star rating. W/O rating its not possible to upload review.
