Every citizen should know about the dark world of HDFC Bank. The management and operations seem to be in unscrupulous hands.

I had filed an FIR 39/20 before Azad Maidan police stn, Mumbai on 12-Feb-20 for fraudulent withdrawal of money from our two bank accounts in HDFC and SBI through UPI transaction. The fraudsters picked up my online complaint to Railway IRCTC/UTS for a refund of debited and pass not issued. The hackers impersonated as staff from IRCTC and hacked the SBI account. I immediately changed my UPI pins when I realised that my accounts were hacked.

Strangely, don't how our HDFC bank account was hacked and debited as the name is different. In fact, how did the hacker even come to know that there was an HDFC account raises the suspicion that the internal staff of HDFC is involved.

Despite my many requests since 12-Feb-2020, HDFC has to date not provided me details of the account to which these amounts were credited. The Azad Maidan Police initially claimed that HDFC is not providing the hackers account details despite repeated requests but did not take any action against HDFC Bank for suppressing the details of a hacker.

All messages and call records of the accused were provided to the Azad Maidan police. The hacker even called back again to further hack my account when I was at the police station for registering FIR. At that time, I put the phone on speaker so that the Police station can hear the fraudster seeking details and the whole police station heard it. I asked him to make a request to trace the call while I keep him engaged in conversation but the police refused to do so.

The first IO was Shri. Gange. Thereafter there was a change in IO and Shri. Aundhkar has taken over. Since he has taken over the investigation, I did regular follow-ups to just find the Bank Account where amounts were credited.

It is unbelievable that HDFC Bank cannot trace the account to which the amount is transferred and puts the credibility of the HDFC bank at stake. PEOPLES MONEY ARE NOT SAFE IN banks at least HDFC Bank.

HDFC has been suppressing the details of the hacker's account since 12-Feb-2020 and initially the IO, Azad Maidan Police was continuously stating that HDFC is not providing details. He also stated that due to COVID Lockdown he was unable to proceed properly.

After persistent follow-up, the IO recently disclosed in August that the amount has been credited/transferred to PayTM bank. This is after I got the details from the other bank SBI which was also hacked. HDFC Bank to date did not provide the hacker's details and protected them.

Naturally asked police why you are not finding out from PayTM who is the beneficiary of that account and arrest him. I am also a PayTM customer and PayTM has done my KYC and collected Aadhaar and PAN Card, then how come PayTM does not have the KYC of the accused who is also their customer.

He said PayTM has not replied and so he is closing the case(as Accused not found) as it is been a long time since Feb-20. This is real proof of how HDFC Bank and Mumbai Police are daily conning lakhs of customers across India of 10, 000/- to 50, 000/-.

HDFC Bank appears part of A MASSIVE SCAM where many customers are defrauded of Rs. 5000 to Rs. 20000 which adds to a HUMONGOUS chronic fraud. HDFC is suppressing the details of criminal hackers hence are guilty of suppression/destruction of evidence u/s 193, 201, 204 IPC.

If a security feature is added in UPI to request OTP in addition to the UPI pin before debiting any account, then a lot of fraud can be prevented.
