I am an NRI customer of HDFC Bank.




  1. Their listed NRI hotlines only has IVRS talking. one will never connect to any human. I tried calling twice. one time I stayed on line for about 20 mins and another time I dare waste my 30 mins on call only to of hear "all of our executives are busy. please remain on the line". So, Hopeless here.




  2. Phone number update process is extremely lousy. I have recently changed my overseas phone number which I wanted to update this is my primary line to receive OTPs. fortunately, I was in india and thought of requesting change of phone number at branch. I completed the form with my new phone number. they screwed up my phone number by putting indian country code+91 prefix to my overseas phone number. now I am stuck and not receiving any OTP I can't do any transaction without it.




  3. HDFC Website & Phone app offers extremely poor user experience. None of the items are properly categorized and one must monkey around to find the right options to perform certain tasks.






these are enough reasons to make customer unhappy. I have decided to not remain HDFC customer anymore.
