I am using HDFC bank as my salary gets credited in bank . I am using easyshop aluminium edge Debit card . Since 5 years . I just noticed big issue in my bank statement waiver is not working. You are not getting the promised feature of having this card and still the charge of this card increased by Rs100+ taxes.


Promised feature




  1. 1% cashback on every online transaction using card.




  2. Fuel surcharge waiver for all the transaction made at fuel station.




  3. Rs.10 lakhs accidental death insurance.




  4. Rs 1 lakh daily ATM withdrawal limit and spend Rs3.00 lacks daily for shopping.






Now there a lots of changes made in the polices( regarding platinum edge debit card):


Rs 1lakhs daily atm withdrawal limit . And spends rs 2.75 lacks daily shopping


Rs 1 cash back( upto rs 750/month)


For every Rs, 100 spent on any purchase. Online or at merchant outlets, at any time of this year. Effective 01 july 14 . Continue earning cashback on debit card. On all categories except fuel, jeweler and services life insurance, mutual funds, govt payments. Business Services etc. Cashback will not be offered on transactions undertaken at Merchant Establishments which are cladsified under the fuel quotes jewellery quotes & quotes services Merchant category code as defined by visa/ MasterCard.


Phone banking/customer service - worst as there is no toll-free number . I am getting charged as per std calls to call helpline number. All the time you are waiting to get in touch with correspondent is charged . A usual call to helpline costs you around Rs 25/call.


ATM services:


In Madurai location most of ATM service not work properly.


Internet banking:


It is better than other Govt.banking sectors.
