Profit in business comes from repeat customers, customers that boast about your project or service, and that bring friends with them.

It seems HDFC is trying to do something of this sort. I thought so when I saw HDFC’s Corporate blog on Mouthshut.com.
My Experience
I have been banking with HDFC for last 3 years. Over this period I have had few good and bad experiences. I will narrate some here
Account Opening
This was a fairly easy process for me as I had opened my account with my Dad’s account. Then I got this account converted into a salary account when I started working.
Conversion to Zero Balance Account was bit of headache as they needed letter from my admin and signature on the same by my senior. Fortunately this was completely done by my finance guy so I was saved.
ATM
They have fair reach in terms of ATMs. There is only 1 issue that I have faced.
Another Bank’s Debit Card: They charge you for using ICICI or SBI debit card from their ATMs.
This is my first hand experience and I was surprised. But I was in much hurry to really go ahead and question why??? But I never used any other banks debit card in HDFC ATM again.
Depositing Money
You can not deposit more than 10k apart from your own branch. So if unfortunately you need to transfer money in emergency...you are in malad and your account is in Nariman point branch then you have to take half day and go there to complete the process. With ICICI it is accepted in all branches and amount can be in two slots more than 20 k or less than 20 kmaking it much easier for customer.
In this process you will encounter some really unmannered, rude and irritating people increasing the chances that you would not prefer to transact with HDFC again.
These are the few issues I have faced personally but “Chalta Hai” attitude played its part and I never ever thought of complaining about them.
Why I am complaining today??
Well today nothing special has happened nor am I in a very bad mood (like frustrated and just want to get out this venom on them). Only thing what prompted me to write this review was their corporate blog on Mouthshut.
I read their post and was bit surprised that they are here to answer our issues and give solutions to the problems faced by the customers. Indeed it’s a great effort on their part to wake up to blogging and start responding to their customers.
I really hope They just don’t say “We Care…” but indeed implement it in spirit and action. Let’s see how well they respond to us and how we can really benefit from them…
