Moved my household goods and car through Hathway packers and movers from Sonepat, Haryana to Bangalore in April 2024. Read good reviews on quora and other portals.
They provide a quotation similar to APML but have a 18% service charge as a fine print. Moving and packing is the service and not sure if it is even legal. For goods they forced us to take an insurance ( it is not mandatory).
In Bangalore they simply got it delivered through Delhivery so unpacking and arrangements were had to be done by us. They broke our our Coffee table and a bunch of crockery.
Thankfully for car they sub contacted to another agency who brought it to us without damage and we thank our luck for the same.
They asked for full payment before transit and their point of contact tried to get the money to some Sayed Ali’s personal account instead of Hathway account. When refused, he reluctantly agreed for bank transfer to Hathway account. Throughout the process, all done over WhatsApp and I finally sent emailed Hathway email ID with bank transfer details to keep a proof. It was a bad experience and will suggest to avoid this agency at all means.
