Sales Operator named Dileep Gowda and his manager Shrikanth - they operate for all new connections in JP Nagar 5th Phase, Bangalore.
They bluffed me saying the connection is feasible in my apartment building and can be activated within next 2-3 days once I submit the documents/cheque/pay in cash.
Documents needed: Power bill, photo and signed the application form. And payment can be either in cash/cheque.
I said: I don't have a photo at this stage and no power bill as well since we just checked into our new home.
Dileep says: "No problem sir, just sign the application and clear the payment, rest we will take care".
I asked what will you do for photo and address proof"
Dileep Says: " We will have other customer's photo, that's why we take 2 photos from every customer as a back up in these situations who don't have to photo. And for the address proof, I will just check any other house power bills beside your apartment, that should be okay."
SO this guy is completely bluffing with others photo and address proofs - disgusting.
I got the documents ready and the sales operator come to my apartment around 8:30 PM on 29th July(Sat) to collect the documents and payment.
When asked for a receipt - Dileep said - He did not get the receipt book as it was late and also end of month work, he promised to get me the receipt the next day, Sunday, 30th July. and the connection would be activated by Wednesday, 2nd Aug.
On Sunday, no update from Dileep for Receipt. I called multiple times, and finally, he picked up and said he will come by 7:30 PM and give me the receipt.
He never came.
On Monday - no update. Dileep is not receiving the call. ANd upon repeated follow-up rings, then he says, my manager Shrikanth is still taking to the building owners/officials for the permission and is not yet in place. So it will take more time.
What the hell? Till the payment was made - he said it will be done by Wednesday and the connection is feasible. And suddenly the story changed. No connection and even no receipt of payment.
And finally, on Thursday, the same Dileep after repeated rings, responded to the call and said connection cant be given and your amount will be refunded, for that I need to talk to customer care. Even if the permission comes, the signal will be very bad in that building as there is no junction box near by.
What non-sense?
These Hathway people especially these two whom I worked with are desperately behind money and not at all bothered about the service to customers. Just cheaters and bluffers. They bluff people until they get the new connection payment, and then they just don't care.
And with customer care - it's a horrible experience. your request status doesn't change, or they don't just give any update until you call and blast them every day. They say the refund takes 30 working days.
Horrible, worst, irritating, experience with Hathway. for me, Hathway is like a bunch of cheaters.
