It's the season of love and who better than Karan Johar can pull it off! HTP is a romantic comedy that's fresh, real, and simplistic. If you are expecting a larger-than-life experience(like all Karan Johar movies), HTP breaks that mold.
It's a simple love story of two imperfect people. We have all encountered how the glamorous women win hearts and outshine geeks in reel life. But, HTP's female protagonist Parineeti Chopra(Meeta) is completely the opposite. She is oblivious to glamour, and fashion. Meeta's an egg head with a twist. She is spunky, unashamed of being herself and impulsive.
Stealing money from her Gujju dad, she fleds home on the day of her sister's wedding. Seven long years and there is no sign of Meeta.
(Nikhil) Siddharth is a sentimental guy who is confused about what he wants in life. He is lovable, caring to the hilt, and thinks from the heart. Getting engaged to his glamorous GF, (Karishma) Adah sharma, he is unaware of the life changing experience Meeta will have in his life.
It's a movie that destreSses you. You will smile throughout the movie. It's a family entertainer and the characters do a bang up job. The chemistry between Meeta and Nikhil is palpable, fresh, relatable and wins your confidence.
Siddharth is very much convincing as a sentimental guy. His good looks add to his advantage! Parineeti is a breath of fresh air among the current crop of dolled up heroines. She comes across as super confident and outspoken. A talent to watch out for, Parineeti shows you a lead heroine needs no makeover to enthrall the audiences.
The music is sweet, and simple with love written all over it.'Zehnaseeb', 'Ishq Bulava' are mesmerizing.
