(NOTE: This was my first MouthShut review, and I didn't have the hang of it yet.)
I may be the only literate person who has as yet to read the Harry Potter books (I have them all, waiting to be read!). Nonetheless, I enjoyed the first Harry Potter movie thoroughly. Didn't feel I was missing anything by not having read the book. Not so with this one. While the movie is enjoyable enough, I definitely felt like I missed a lot of the significance/cohesion. For example, the movie finale has everyone cheering in triumph for something I didn't particularly find so cheer-worthy. I suspected if I'd read the book, I would have felt this particular ''victory'' better.
