Guzhaarish—and life is wonderful!!

Sometime we come up with certain type of movies which scence are captured in limited places and their appearances are same in most of the scence. Sawariya of Sanjay leela Bhansali was one of them which had a similar stage outlook through out. This time, once again, he came up with movie which at a glance may not be looking fascinating, it may not be colorful and it may not have exposed the beautiful scenario of natures, but Guzhaarish has focused itself on the life and its joy of living, looking it from other part and trying to explain about that phase of ours which most of us had never prayed for: Fight against life, i.e desire for death.

Story line:-

Someone who had ruled the world of magics 14 years ago, he has spent 12 years of his recent time in a single house. Even in this painful stage of life, where he has no any hope from medicine science and miracles to heal him, Hrithik Roshan as Magician Ethan Mascarenhas is motivating people through his radio station and he is preaching about the beauty of life and reason for survival. An accident occurred during one of his magic show 14 years ago, leaves his body paralyzed. He can listen, talk and write too, but in himself he can’t feel anything and do any other thing. Sofia Dsouza (Aishwarya) as his nurse, serving him with all dedication for last 12 years, has forgotten every of her personal life in duty of her master. The main story of movie goes with his request of euthanasia in court. He finds his happiness in death but as Indian judiciary has no any amendment in law for euthanasia, he and his lawyer go through many obstacles. So story is all about Guzhaarish of Ethan Mascarenhas. Will his request be accepted by court? Will he ever get that happy moment of life which he desires to get or will he be back to live his life again?

Role-

Guzhaarish is totally focused on Mr Mascarenhas’s personal life which has been handicapped. So to play handicapped role may not be such a tough job but to mark something special in that role is really a tough one, still Hrithik Roshan has done it here. His performance through his dialogues is amazing!! For the flash back shown in movie, his magic part and once again especially his dance, they are incomparable.

Aishwarya has impressed her fan through not only her beauty but her performance too! Her voice and her act in different stage of movie, they are noticeable. Aditya Roy as student desiring to be a next great magician, he is good with his performance and other actors as lawyer friend of Ethan and his family doctor, they are ok!

The other best part of this movie is Music and undoubtedly it has won many heart . Play back tune and lyrics of songs cant be forgotten easily.

Story plot is comparatively slow than other movie but again it is never a boring one. and it has very few moment as a flashback. Story never goes beyond the life of actor and basically is concentrated in personal life of actor. First half is quite interesting with few funny and emotional moment while the second half could have been a better one

Adding of flashback moments looks like insufficient and movie fails to describe few other moments in details like his relation with his assistant, revolution to project euthanasia and ending one. A series of motivational example for life would have brought little more excitement in the movie and it could have been source of inspiration too. Story has beautiful dialogues. Even in absence of natural scenario, stage is worth watching.

So at conclusion, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s direction has been fruitful and people will surely not dislike it expectation as few who don’t desire to watch such type of movies in limited scenario.

Go through the movie and experience the magic of music and Hrithik Roshan.
