This show for the youth, airs on youth channel, Channel V. The youth channels cater more directly to youngsters aka current generation as these channels unlike the mainstream hindi ones do not hesitate to broadcast content which might be acceptable by the younger generation but most probably will offend traditional elders aka old generation.
This is precisely why a socially relevant crime series like Gumrah which focuses on the crimes committed by not so innocent teenagers and the aftermath/consequences faced by them, that too with the psychological point of view is a must watch according to me. Host Karan Kundra communicates to the youth in a matter of fact albeit empathetic manner.
I hope that Gumrah runs into many successful seasons without turning into a general mainstream drama. After all, many parents are preachy and hesitant while explaining codes of conduct to their kids. This crime series succeeds where many mothers and fathers fail as Gumrah communicates to the teenagers through a heart to heart chat, visually.
