Hi, I am writing this to bring everyone attention regarding the incident I went across while traveling with Green Line last night 26.06.2023.
As soon as I boarded the bus, the conductor asked my name and my seat number, I told my name and he smiled and winked at me and kept chanting my name until I settled in my seat. Almost 5-10 times he opened the curtain, which I brushed initially but later when I understood his bad intentions towards me I kept myself alert and immediately informed my parents regarding the same.
He kept roaming near my seat, I literally felt so unsafe and worried with the gesture he used to pass everytime when he crossed me. He in fact did some bad signs and actions towards me, which made me confirm regarding the behaviour of his towards me and the way he was behaving was clear-cut indication that he was genuinely trying to approach me in a very inappropriate way.
Apparently, this has not stopped, I was completely awake and alert because of him. Later he onboarded a girl next to me, whereas that turned around a transgender without any prior ticket of that seat. How can someone be comfortable sleeping beside someone who is transgender and not straight?
As soon as that person tried coming close to me I immediately told to the same conductor that I am not comfortable and do change my seat. Instead of hearing me out he vouched back and said I can't help you if you want sleep or else don’t. It literally shook me off by his statement as we have paid and have all rights to oppose if the service is not good.
This kept continuing and it was almost 3 AM, I came out of my seat and woke a man name (Mouli) sleeping opposite to my seat, and have briefed him the entire thing that was happening since I boarded the bus. I must appreciate the gentleman for hearing me completely with patience and gave me place to sit in his own seat. We discussed and was waiting for bus to stop for the break, As soon as bus stopped he tried speaking to driver and conductor on behalf of me but nothing turned in favour. Then we spoke to another person and he shifted with that man and gave me his seat to sleep. I must take my gratitude towards the (Mouli) who really understood and helped me.
I am really looking forward to hear from the Red Bus team or Green Travels team. As this is really alarming and until I get revert, I suggest all the females to never ever book Green Travels anytime in coming future, as innocent girls can easily get trapped.
I need a penalty for what has happened with me, as I will ensure my voice reaches to million people across reading this until I get positive revert on this.
