First of all i would like to thank GreatLakes institute in providing me admission into the post graduate cloud compute program starting Oct 2023 and it concluded 30 Jun 2024.
In this 8+ months rigorous period, i was able to get comprehensive view of IT operations as a whole, plus rounded knowledge on cloud compute, and exploring further with AWS and Azure. For me most exciting part was and always will be the hands-on Labs and assignment submissions. It enabled me re kindle some of my already existing tech knowledge and complementing with what CSP could offer. After seriously going thru the materials and practicing hard - doing Capstone projects and final-subjective assessment boosted my confidence.
Few things i want to call out:
Quality of the sessions: Both online sessions and mentoring session - AWS sessions by Mukerjee was the best. I never felt it was offline at all. He kept me interested throughout those sessions. Azure was good, but not as good as that of AWS.
Weekend mentoring sessions and technical support sessions were also of high standard.
I want to call out the facilitation i received from mentors during various times, that helped not only me but all participants to keep progress the journey and complete the program successfully, achieving the objective. Specifically, Adityan the do I recall when you actually helped me find alternate slot for mentoring session around AWS-Managed service, during my family function time, I kept up as 100% attending all the mentoring sessions!! :)
During the initial days of the program, especially related to fees and dues payment, i had some concern around the reflection of monthly EMI payment, which you later resolved. A delay could have affected my access to AWS-Learner's academy.
The study materials, though good, i felt could be bit more organized.
Overall, the courses and modules were well structured. For me personally, it was indeed a challenge to try different ways to manage both work priorities as well as progress on the course. I had attempted different approaches like allocate dedicated time, start of every day or after work every day etc. But i decided not to be harsh on myself while also investing personal time during many weekends, holidays to keep up with the schedule. That really worked.
Adityan - to be frank, when i enrolled into the course, i was sort of bit curious, not fully decided (shifting between different topics such AI/ML). But as I completed the program, i realized i made one of the best upskilling/reskilling investments and GreatLakes helped me to achieve it.
