I got to know about GozoCabs from a Google search query where GozoCabs had advertised its services.
On 23rd Sept'19 I used GozoCabs website to book an Innova for a trip from Delhi to Haldwani(my date of travel was 1st Oct'19) and made advance payment of Rs.935/-
It is important to note that I was travelling with my wife and 2 very young kids.
On 1st Oct morning(4 hours before pickup time), I got confirmation from GozoCabs that Innova has been confirmed & I got the following driver & cab details(Cab Number: UK 04 TA 3603, Driver: Pratap Singh, Phone: 03371122003/ 03366283903).
The cab reached me at 7 am & the first thing I noticed was that the Cab was dirty on the inside and was unfit for traveling with one's family. Since I was getting late I ignored this, however upon riding a short distance in the cab I noticed that AC wasn't working(cooling was non-existent). I immediately regretted my decision to use an unknown & untested cab company like GozoCabs to book cab for my family on such a critical trip(it was an urgent family function & I couldn't afford to get delayed). Despite this bad start, I decided to give GozoCabs another chance to correct their mistake(also because I really had no other option so early in the morning) and decided to ask GozoCabs to replace the cab. Firstly, the call center boy picked up the phone and said that they were sorry and he offered me a large discount on the cab fare(expecting me to continue my journey in that cab). I replied that it was not possible to ride in that non-AC cab for such a long journey. He then started telling me that it would take him another hour to arrange another cab and asked me if I would wait(in the hope that I would give up and continue with that non-AC cab). I said "nothing doing, you have to replace the cab". He then said "pls wait, I'll arrange a replacement and I'll call you back".
1 hour passed by and there was no update from GozoCabs, so I called up their call center again & this time I was told "sorry, we couldn't arrange a replacement; pls cancel the booking and we'll refund your payment."; I said "I'm standing on the roadside with my wife and small kids, waiting for your replacement cab & I don't want cancellation. Just get the replacement cab". To this the call center agent kept repeating "sorry for the experience, pls cancel booking and we'll refund your payment". I flatly refused. She must have said the exact same lines at least 20 times, before I asked her to connect me to her supervisor, which she did reluctantly & after I threatened her with legal action. The supervisor(a lady called Sushma) came online & she repeated the same thing in different language/ words & cancelled my booking unilaterally, despite my repeated protests about it.
I was utterly disappointed & hurt at this rude betrayal of trust by GozoCabs, who instead of correcting their mistake and arranging a replacement cab, literally left me on the road with my family.
Note that this is a start-up, whose founder(Deepesh Arora) says in his LinkedIn profile about GozoCabs: ".in simple terms we're building trust.
When you hire a Gozo Cab, you can trust that you will be quoted a honest/transparent price, for reliable good quality service which we strive to deliver every time"
This is an outright lie! Customers(as I found out from personal experience) cannot trust GozoCabs, it's service is far from good quality & light years away from being reliable!
You can be sure that you will risk your travel plans if you choose GozoCabs. Better to go with other reliable cab service providers.
