I have been using Google Pay for 3-4 years back and I am really satisfied with this application. It is safe to use and very user-friendly. The main thing which attracts me about this app is'Its Google's Product'. I don't know why. but just because it's Google I feel it is more secure than as compared to other apps like PhonePe, PayPal, etc. Nowadays even WhatsApp, Amazon came with this money transaction feature. But I would mostly recommend Google Pay.
Below mentioned are some of the pros and cons for the same:
Pros:
1. User friendly.
2. UI is best.
3. We can add multiple bank accounts.
4. it Has various bill payment support right from prepaid to post-paid.
5. We can transfer huge amounts of money.
6. W can earn reward on successful transactions.
7. Authentication is secured by using PIN or else face identification.
8. We can check our account balance by entering a secured PIN.
9. Self transfer feature is superb. We can transfer money from one account to another account.
10. It is also helpful for small businesses that do not have swipe machines.
Cons:
1. Sometimes transactions are failed.
2. If the transaction fails it takes more time to revert back.
3. Customer care support is not good.
4. Not suitable for EMI transaction if the payment got failed due to some reason then we need to find some another option for payments which should be done before the time limit.
Basically, I had both good and bad experiences using Google Pay.
Good experience:
Firstly I would like to share my good experience. It helps me to keep track of daily transactions. I even do my monthly bill payments are like electricity bill, water bill, mobile recharge, TV recharge, Internet recharge, etc. using Google pay. The best advantage of doing all these payments online is that we even receive a reminder for our payments which forces me to do the bill payments. Another good thing about Google Pay is that we can directly do the transactions only by sharing our registered mobile number. There is no need to share any bank details for the same.
Bad experience:
I even had a very bad experience once with Google Pay. Once I booked the movie tickets using BookMyShow App and did the transactions using Google Pay. The amount was debited from my account immediately and even received the bank message for that transaction. So I thought that I am done with my bookings. But I didn't receive any confirmation message about the seat bookings from BookMyShow. After 2hrs I made a call to BookMyShow's customer care executive regarding my confirmation. But they replied that according to their system update the transactions was failed. She suggested me to wait for a while it might be some system issue. But I even had my show timing within half an hour. So we all went to the show and showed the booking details and occupied our seats.
After some time we came to know from the manager over there that our seats were booked by some other members just because the transactions were taking so long time, it got booked by some other users. It was so embarrassing for all of us to get out from the theatre in front of all. Then I made a call for Google Pay help support and she informed me that the transactions were failed and will be reverted back within 7-8 working days. I just can never forget this incident in my whole life, we missed our movie just because of Google Pay.
Even after this incident, I would recommend to use Google Pay. There are more pros rather than cons. It is more user-friendly and secure. Nowadays no need to run for ATM machines. We can use Google Pay even for small shops, autos, local stores and do our transactions.
