Goibibo shame shame: I generally never give negative feedback on any hotel this can be crossed checked from reviews. This time I had been forced to give this type of feedback for both Goibibo and Hotel Lavanya. I had booked hotel using goibibo website for my parents(Sr. Citizen). This I had booked(Booking Id: HTLBWUQUZJ) as they were going for a wedding and the wedding site was very near to this hotel(Hotel Lavanya). Here is my feedback on how they tackled the situation: 1. Rates mismatch:


a. Their system has a bug I had booked for my parents(Mother and Father) double occupancy. The ticket after processing showed it is available only for one guest.


b. Spoke to Goibibo executive he also saw that it was showing up the price for the double occupancy as same as single occupany and created a case for us. Spoke to Hotel also and they did not agree.(Goibibo charges the same but gives different price to the hotel for single occupaancy and double occupancy).


c. These rates were for accomodation only and no breakfast etc was included.


d. Had to shelof 1000/- for no fault of us.


e. They had asked for the special request at the time of booking where I had clearly mentioned my old parents are travelling hence give them a decent room.


f. Goibibo executives kept arguing that I had booked only for one guest.




  1. Issue handling:




a. Goibibo eecutive raised a ticket immediately so that it can get resolved. I was told I will get a response within 2 hours.


b. AFter 1 hour 40 mins I got a response the ticket is being worked upon(hence they have completed their commitment of responding to me)


c. After repeatred calls got a response after 16 hours once again ticket is being worked on.(Once again commitment completed)


d. Once again calls, this time they tried telling me the rates had changed when you booked vs currently. Then they said you had booked for 2 person and 3 persons had gone. Then when I told I have enough evidences. They said you have only booked for one guest and we cannot give you any refund. This was done by Mr Vikas and Mr Vibhuti Kumar(Floor supervisor).


e. No formal communcation was done on this all the while I was marked in the issue but then only Mr. Vibhuti Kumar got to know that there is no question of refund.




  1. Quality of Hotel:




a. Hotel in the website indicates it is a 3 star property with beatiful photographs.


b. Hotel does not have escalator. The quality of the rooms are nothing but shabby, degraded not even worth 1000/-.




  1. Handling Room Quality issue by Goibibo:




a. They put me on the conference with the hotel and their duty was over.


b. No followups with the hotel to change the room or give a better room. Note:Do not delete this feedback. I will add it in many more websites.
