I have wanted to see this movie right since it was released.And it was only yesterday that I got a chance to watch it on my DVD player. As it had Robert DeNiro and seen its Promo I was very much eager to watch it. But then.......
Plot:-
There' s a couple Paul Duncan (Greg Kinear) and Jessie Duncan (Rebecca Stamos) who are living happily with their only child Adam(Cameron Bright). Paul is a teacher by Profession.
Things turn around when their son Adam dies in a freak road accident just after his 8th Birthday.
The couple is all in grief and slowly digesting the truth. It is then that a scientist and doctor Richard Wells (Robert DeNiro) approaches them and puts a proposal that he can give them their son back Using his Stem cell research i'e by Cloning . But since it is illegal they have to sacrifice their environment and relatives and come and stay in his city where he has his hospital.
Initially Paul refuses but after seeing Jessie's condtion he finally agrees.So Richard carries the experiment which becomes successful. They get their baby back.
At first Adam grows Normal and predictable till he becomes 8 years old . But after that nothing could be predicted.
It is then that he begins to have hallucinations. He sees someone and recalls memories of someone who is not him. Somewhere something has gone wrong.
what has gone wrong and is it by chance or deliberate is revealed in the end.
The movie fails to keep up the track set in the first half.It could have been made much better considering the powerful storyline.
But then Robert DeNiro also disappoints . He is dull in his part.
