Well I would write a review if the thing worked but it is blowing hot air. I like the multitudes of vents in the lower compartment. It keeps the fruits and vegetables in a stale and fresh condition and blows the smell out. There is also a fan and vent in the top compartment so as to keep the fish warm and non-smelly... Yes we called them and they came and took a look at it and left saying well its a new model and they dont know how to operate it. We have asked them to replace it but they said they need to call the VP or someone to get permission. But since godrej sales and vp's do NOT carry Cell phones only their gardeners and security guards carry them and he is on tour trying to sell more of these crap, we are out of luck... For the past week... Well the brand spanking new fridge also has a visible distinguishing mark, they put a big dent and scrapped paint on the right side of the lower door. Which we could have done without. Now we have lost a whole weeks worth of food but dont worry, we will get a brand spanking new one which works as soon as those guys in-charge gets a hold of some telecommunication equipment to communicate with their regional sales centers. My choice would have been some cheap Korean stuff in the first place since they at least have learned about customer care and customer convenience. Its like you cant live without an appliance and the faster they get it fixed/replaced the better since we have now come to a point where we cant live without their use. UPDATE: Well after 10 days they replaced it with a new one and this one seems to work fine but the initial bad service and unresponsiveness caused bad feelings. The main problem seems to be that it is too big. Maybe due to experience in not making large appliances, there are problems since my parents love godrej so much, they bought a smaller version of the same thing also which seems to work much much better in even cooling than the larger brother. Both seems to be working fine. Like most products, it is when a problem develops that you notice the company at all. Other wise if it works okay, you think its a great product form a great company. The after sales service defines how satisfied you will be with the product. In this regard Godrej really needs to improve if they want to compete with MNC's. We did not have many choices before an dhad to accept what we got. But this dont work in europe or the US. And soon it wont work in India either.
PS edit after 4 years... This fridge is a power monger. I could not understand why my electric bill was so high. So when I moved I did not take it with me and bought a new samsung 4 star smaller fridge. My elec bill is half what I was paying before. I also have 2 AC's. My elec bill is still lower. I did not have an AC at the old place and thats the only difference. The rest of my elec usage is similar. But I use the AC's a lot and if 2 of them cost me less to use than 1 fridge???? This must be one of those wonder -5 STAR rated ones.
