Globus what a wonderful name, I was surely attracted to the name when I got the pamphlet in the News Paper I was tempted to visit the mall.
Situated at the prime location at Hill Road Bandra, this 3 storey shopping complex looks really impressive. The ground floor is for women’s & men’s casual wear the 1st floor is for women’s Indian wear, 2nd is for men’s formal wear and the 3rd floor is for denims and sports wear. With few cosmetics, perfumes and jewellery counters in some corners. Globus has a small cafeteria too on the 3rd floor.
As I entered the mall I was like huh not bad, but I was disappointed to see the stuff they had kept; Such a Big mall with Such a Less stock. I picked up few stuff like jeans, t-shirts etc.
Next time I visited Globus while paying, the cashier asked me if I had Globus membership card and I was like nope what’s that then he explained me about the card, if we purchase above 500 we get a temporary membership card and if above 1500 to 2000 we get a permanent membership card. As I had already shopped for more than 4000 I got the Globus permanent membership card.
When I asked the cashier to deduct 2000 for the membership card and add rest 2000 for the points he straightly refused to do that and I was like anyway forget it. Btw who cares for the points. Well the card doesn’t provide any discount on the purchase but only get points. I think 100 RS Is equal to one point.
I saw a couple arguing at the counter to return their money or to exchange the pants. He was almost yelling at the staff telling him how embarrass he was in front of so many people at the party when his pants were torn.
Even few of my friends had told me not to buy anything from Globus because the material fades after 1-2 wash. But I didn’t pay attention.
Also I had read so many Low Ranking reviews on MouthShut but ignored them and I still regret for not following the opinions of the honest members.
As usual on Sunday afternoon I went out for shopping planning only to buy short Salwaar Kameez as deciding where to shop suddenly Globus came to my mind and I was like ok let’s try out there. Well I choose two Salwaar Kameez but to my bad luck the size didn’t fit me they were bit tight for me I asked for the bigger size but there were only one piece of each, and well I wanted to buy the same.
When the sales guy told me he can alter it I was happy. I asked him to make the bill and gave it to alteration well I explained him from where I wanted the outfits to be loosened and also told him how many inches. The next day when I went to collect the outfits I thought of trying and when I tried to my disappointment it was tighter than before instead of making it loose this guy had made it tighter. I was so annoyed and asked him to exchange it and that guy refused he was like once altered we can’t exchange it but we can alter it again. I had already paid 1900 for those two outfits.
Unwillingly I had to give it back for alteration but again they repeated the same mistake and also cut the margin cloth which didn’t left any room to alter it again. I really didn’t understand was the tailor wrong or the sales man or me. When I strictly refused to take those outfits and asked for the Manager the sales person told me that the Manager was gone out. I came back the next day but I got to know that the Manager had gone out of station. I was so bugged and gave away those outfits to my sister.
Globus is so expensive compare to other shopping malls. I think Shoppers Stop is much better. I still repent for making a wrong decision of buying from that store. I have decided not to visit Globus anymore.
I think soon they are going to lose all their customers if they won’t improve on the quality. Only one thing I like there is the Globus Theater.
