Stupid insults I've had the displeasure of hearing

Note: Not a review of the book. Best suited category for what I am writing. Those of you who rate unfairly, bypass reading this and give me an NR or SR, because you were going to anyway. Thank you, have a nice day.

Alright, from time to time we all hear moronic insults that just make you go: ''where in the world did you come up with that?'' As a Backstreet Boys fan, I've heard plenty of these in a short amount of time. It's sort of sad, really. This review is going to contradict every stupid insult or comment I've heard against the Backstreet Boys and Nsync. Enjoy...

Backstreet Boys & Nsync

''Their CDs would make good coasters''

For one, CDs have holes in the middle, allowing condensation from a cup to seep through and onto your table. But that's beside the point. Why would you say something so stupid? I wouldn't buy a $15 CD I don't like just so I can use it as a coaster, to make a statement. This comment is just 'retarded.'

''They don't play instruments, so that means they aren't a real band''

Alright, obviously you don't know much about the Backstreet Boys. On the contrary, they do play instruments. They don't display this in videos, or do it often in their music, but you are still wrong in saying that they just don't play instruments. Howie and Brian play the guitar, Kevin and AJ play the piano/keyboards, & Nick and Brian play drums (various different kinds, but Nick plays the standard). If you'll kindly watch Homecoming In Orlando or buy the Burger King tape, you'll see some of this wonderful playing talent displayed. May I also remind you that I'd rather listen to beautiful voices than screeching, screaming rockers.

''They just have average voices...I could sing like them if I wanted to''''

YEAH, and I'M the Queen of England honey. Honestly, what an idiotic remark. One of my classmates, a teenage boy, said this and days later displayed a rather grotesque singing voice. He'd forgotten his remark, but remembered it quite quickly once I began laughing my head off and whispering to my friend about him. He realized then that he was rather wrong. The Backstreet Boys do not have average voices, and that is a plain fact. I couldn't just walk up to a guy in the street, ask him to sing, and expect him to sound as good as the guys. That's just not gonna happen in a normal situation.

''They lip sync at their concerts!''

LOL! Well, someone told me this in a chat room, with which I promptly replied with a question asking them if they'd attended a Backstreet Boys concert. Why, of course they had not. I began laughing quietly in my computer room, and told them that I'd been to six, and I'm very talented at recognizing lip synching: the Backstreet Boys weren't. They don't need to fake it, because they are all real. They are extremely talented and have beautiful voices. Not only that, but: I was priveleged to have been given admission to a fan conference. During it, a little girl asked them to sing. Quite quickly, Brian and Nick responded, asking what she wanted them to sing. They ended up singing the chorus to ''I Want It That Way'' (this was during the Into The Millennium Tour). They blew me away! They are absolutely amazing! They are also loud, lol. So don't even think of telling me they lip synch, 'cause they don't!

''They're gay/fags!''

All I have to say about this is: 1) you must be homophobic and an absolutely disgusting person to say such a thing; 2) you are demeaning the gay community when you say these things, because you are using homosexual terms as insults of other people; 3) even if they were gay, I'd love their music. How about them apples? :) (This also goes for Nsync).

Conclusion

Ok, trust me, there's more insults. Lots of four letter words, meaningless statements really. I hope you've read this thoroughly and have come to a few realizations if you've ever said any of these statements. Thanks.
