I know many of you know how to make / create a website by now. (Courtesy FrontPage or DREAMWEVER or COFFFEE CUP etc etc ). So now comes the problem that what to do with this ? How to make your friends check out your state of at work?( Well not always ) So here is what to do then. Get your self registered for domain name and web-space. You have two choices, FREE or shell out some MONEY. Both ways have their own pros n cons.
FREE Options.
1) There are many players in this field, most popular are https://geocities.com, https://angelfire.com https://lycos.com and https://rediff.com. They offer you 10 to 20 MB of web space for FREE ! Yeah Absolutely free.
2) They also provide you domain name for free but then it is way too long like, https://geocities.com /yourname or https://angelfire.com/rock/india/yourname.
3) Then they have their buggy Advertisements or banners in your Page.
PAID OPTIONS.
1) This done by millions of people. They give you your desired domain name (if available) at as low as Rs 350/- per annum. * This rate may vary from one place to other.
2) They can give webspace from 1 MB to 1000 GB, all depends how much money you can shell. Approximately it costs Rs 30/-per MB.
3) But then you don't have any advertisements or banners n you have your domain name for instance https://yourname.com
So now you have done this all, what's the next step ? All you have to do is get a FTP (File transfer Protocol ) Software, or just look for the option for
UPLOAD in the site where you have signed up.
Just move all the file including picture, sound and of course your HTML or HTM file. DO NOT FORGET to name your first page (starting page as index.html or default.html). Thats it you are done, now just type in your domain name in your web browser and BINGO.you have your Site online. Welcome ONLINE !
