The shopping mall concept had arrived in our country during mid 1990s and as of today it has pushed back the country side retailers in all aspects and everyone irrespective of living standard enjoys purchasing commodities in a shopping mall. Several brands of shopping malls like Big Bazaar, Bazaar Kolkata, Reliance Mart, Pantaloon and many others have gained significant reputation among people of our nation. However, it applies to people living in urban regions only. I have been a regular visitor to these shopping malls for last 10 years or even a little more and would bring some tips for visitors of these malls.
1) First of all, on arriving to a shopping mall, one must park his or her vehicle in the designated parking area since malls are always crowded and so are the vehicles.
2) If one desires to visit the mall only for viewing it, he or she can move around all shopping outlets in it. But, if one comes with a pre planned purchase intention, then the proper floor must be chosen. For example, food and grocery items are available on one floor, clothes on another, jewelry items on another and so on. Since malls are multi storied buildings, it is advised to use lift always.
3) Before shopping, one must take a trolley available in the mall to carry the purchased items.
4) While choosing food items from the display area, one must carefully verify the product's expiry date and the offers printed on it.
5) While choosing clothes, one must carefully check it so that it is not damaged.
6) After collecting the items, the customer must move to a cash counter and stand in a queue to make the payment. Almost all malls accept credit/debit cards too. After making the payment, one must collect the bill and can move out showing the bill to the security person at the exit of it.
7) In addition there are some other facilities available in these malls like refreshment centers, beauty centers which one can visit if wanted.
8) Malls also accept coupons from buyers which they might have got earlier and counted while making the payment.
9) In some shopping malls like Big Bazaar, they offer time to time to accept old household commodities like news papers, old shoes, used bottles and in exchange of it they offer shopping discount coupons which anyone can avail of.
10) Most malls offer a discount day during a week. For example, Big Bazaar offers it on every Wednesday and desiring people must make use of it to get benefited out of it.
11) If children accompany the customer, they must be taken care of every second since the malls are heavily crowded and children may get lost with a higher probability.
