Nowadays people are more relied on coaching institutes rather than preferring self-study. In fact due to n number of such small and big institutes there’s been a hurdle to where to take admission for better results, since also the parents are many a times worried & stressed regarding the career, etc of their child.
But the thing is that sometimes they fell prey to the ads of these institutes. They claim that the students pursuing a course from there institute passes out as topper, etc which is also not a case always. Sometimes this may be even fake or just to make a good impression in the public opinion.
But mostly I would advice before joining its good to enquire what kind of training schedule they have planned and its better if some kind of feed back is taken from the students who have actually learned from the same classes or institutes.
Leaving all this apart, I started speaking about something related to self-study. Yes at the end of the day whether it is a coaching institute or something else the performance and results are based on how much you studied and the execution at the tests/exams.
The reason behind joining coaching classes is mostly to complete their syllabus which is not covered by the schools/colleges. And also to obtain some kind of notes which appears to be much easy to learn and sufficient for gaining good marks which is offered as a complementary.
But the quality of knowledge is affected and limited to the content what is just studied or learnt. On the other hand, the advantage of self-study is that you get to know what are your weaknesses, where you face difficulties, so that you work on it by yourself. Spoon feeding may not work all the time. You have to get up at some stage then why not early as possible before it gets too late and becomes a habit.
Also you get more amount of free time to learn as well as to do some other stuff and be relaxed since you are out of the race for running all the time to attend lectures and prepare for various test series held accordingly. But in case if it is felt that it is necessary and important enough to join then mostly I would prefer for private tuition's since you get more amount of personal attention than a coaching institute so that not much time is wasted behind a particular subject/difficulty.
Else coaching institutes are also good in some aspects mostly if they are focused on making and shaping the career of their students and not just dumping as many students as they want in a room to make more money and just complete the syllabus…
