Blogging has been the latest craze on the net and yours truly is one of the guilty ones on indulging in this activity.
A blog is basically a text based user friendly site where you can put up anything and everything from a daily journal to your thoughts on issues to stories, your imagination is the limit.
Why should I blog?
Because it’s fun! Because blogging is a sure fire way to reach out to the world through the wonderful world wide web. Because it’s a handy way for friends and family to know what is happening in your life. Because it’s a cool way to say what you are afraid to say in your daily life, because you own that space totally for your thoughts and your thoughts alone(supreme master) and mostly because it’s fun!

Of course, if you check out the blogs that exist on the net today you’ll be amazed by the creativity of these people. The templates provided by the server(also known as skins) are pretty simple but you can get real cools ones from other sites that specialise in providing blog skins. For example if you use blogger.com or xanga.com, try going to http://www.blogskins.com you can get a huge selection of blogskins. REALLY good ones.
When I started blogging, I had NO idea how to use html, but it didn’t take me long to pick up the basics myself and I redid my blog myself without professional help, without books even. I’m far from being good at it yet but I already have the basics. Trust me, it really is easy.
The main reason me and my friends have blogs is to catch up with each other’s lives especially since we live all around the world and hardly get to see each other. This is a perfect way for us to kind of ‘drop in’ on each other and check out what’s going on.
