This one goes out for The Rocker... Psyxx... for being the seems-tough-is-sweet guy that he is :).

Each time I saw a concert telecasts on TV I felt how privileged I was to be sitting pretty and getting the best view of it all compared to those standing in queue for hours and spending fortunes to stand in the crowd, tightly packed, shoulder to shoulder!

Until I attended a Jagjit Singh - Gulzar concert in Delhi. I still haven't spent a better evening and songs have never sounded as sweet. And yes, I was at Brayan Adams' concert as well, which was one experience I'd never forget.

So what makes these live concerts good or bad? ...

How to know about them? ... Try being a member of social organizations that organize such shows, FICCI is a good option, so are Spic Macay, Rotary Club, Lions Club, etc. So paying a minimal annual fee would get you all information about such shows and even free passes sometimes. Also the News Papers can get you information on what's happening in the city, so you could get your tickets in time.

How to be there? ... Just gather info about where the passes are available and get them as soon as possible to assure the best seats. Or else, just find friends or friends of friends who work with the companies sponsoring the show and plead them for free passes. Or be a date to a friend who has the passes! Ahh... there are a hundred other ways, but try these... they should work! Gate crashing infact is a bad thing to do, it not only spoils the show for you if you are caught, it spoils it for others as well if there are more gate crashers than just you.

How to enjoy it best? ...The concept of live theater, shows and concerts and a sense of art have almost faded off late. That's how I remember the lady on my left at Ustad Bismillah Khan's concert telling her husband how boring she found it 'coz she complained Ustad Bismillah Khan "Did not sing even one song! " (lol). So make sure you know where you are going and what to expect out of it? It's always good to attend concerts of your favorite singers, coz you've heard them, loved them and you know what to expect out of them. It’s a strange thinking that going to a live concert is being elite, but well if you are sleeping through the concert, it’s a sheer waste!

What to do once you are there? … Those who have been to live concerts of their favorite singers would agree that there’s nothing more fun than them. Watching your favorite performer LIVE, right in front of you, singing/playing for you, with all the like minded people around you is truly heavenly. So once you are there, just enjoy… spend the evening relishing it, humming along, patting your hands and feet, clapping, cheering and dancing.

What not to do? … Yes you might be the BIGGEST fan at the concert, but it still does not give you any right to try to climb up the stage or scratch a side of the performer! Each time a classical singer performs a concert, they make sure to send a list of “code of conduct” to the organizers. But even if you don’t know the code, the basic code is to respect the performer and not think of him as your private property! It’s irritating when cell phones ring loud and clear in the middle of a melodious performance. It’s ill manners and embarrassing and the people sitting around you truly want to smash your head off!

Rock Show… The Rock Star… Well I am alien to the concept of Rock. All that I know of it is that it’s loud music with a singer singing something that I will never be able to understand! But well since the review is for “The Rock Star” himself this had to be here! Here is one live concert where you can be a recluse, set yourself free, dance, sing and go mad!

To be perfect at something, you need to know that something perfectly and The Rock Star is just so perfect at it. Psyxx lives for music. He isn’t just THE writer that we all see here; he’s THE Rock Star with a great knowledge and flair for music. He’s a know-all at everything, but when it comes to music… Psyxx RULES! With unbeaten records to his name, his passion for music drives him to make and break more and more of them. Leaving everything aside… one thing I’m sure of is that he sings REALLY nice… (that’s first hand info!) Here’s something… The Psyxx style…

Brain and wit, tears and smile,

All at their best make you wild.

Songs and music, piano and guitar,

Make you a BIG Rock Star.

-er and darn, argh and groan,

Make great evenings and pleasant morns.

Luck’s all your and future is you,

And hey you know I have a ……. you!!!

;) hahahaha
