September 11 terrorist attack at New York is one of the back days in the history of mankind , my sympathies are with the people of America who have suffered and are still suffering from the losses of thousands of lives and property and above all their pride. This act against humanity has a very far reaching consequences to the history of the world and the world will never be the same.

This one was not just merely another incident which can be easily forgotten, this has shown the ugly side of the present world which has build up over the time slowly and surly. Terrorism has become a rule of game to achieve many objectives and has been fuelled by religious or ideological fanatism and even by the states as mean to destabilise the enemy nations. Millions of innocent lives have been lost and huge property lost due to terrorism which has become global phenomenon. Some times revenge like bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki has resulted biggest act of terrorism. The Frankastine created by most powerful nations of the world is now hitting back with vengeance.

Many memories of terrorism still haunt us , the massacre at Germany during Olympics, Bombay blasts, continuous terrorist acts at Kashmir, Ireland and many other places where millions of innocents lost their lives. These have failed to awake the world, hence these type of catastrophe was written on the wall. Now since the sacrifice of thousands of Americans has able to stir the conscience of the world, let us hope this dreaded menace will get eradicated from the face of the globe. This will require certain amount of introspection by all of us specially by riches and powerful. The Frankestine we have created, the arms we have sold to enrich our coffers are now hurting us.

War as an act of revenge is not the solution to the problem, destroying a person or a group or even a nation will not serve any purpose rather it will aggravate it, terrorism is like a weed to be destroyed everywhere whatever is the logic of terrorism.

The war against terrorism requires a concentrated and honest effort from all of us and all countries of the world. All has to rise above selfish motives, concern for all and removal of hate is necessary to fight the battle against terrorism. Let us all pray with Pope who said ” I beg to God to keep the world in peace”
