If you are in Chembur, and perchance you are hungry with only a few 100s left after all the shopping, there is only one destination, Geeta Bhavan near the Orange shop and Ambedkar Udyan circle where you can head.
It is a heaven for the batchelor hordes in Chembur, with a great combo of good food, hygiene and price. The restaurant offers the usual Punjabi stuff, altho' with a small Udipi touch. There are also the usual Bombay-ishtyle fare which you will NOT get anywhere else. Udipi stuff from GBs is just lipsmacking!
The only downside is the darn looong wait to get in.
No mention can be made of GB without mentioniung their absolutely, positively heavenly Dahibhat. It is a mix of delightful coolness, just the right amount of tadka, and little gem-like cucumbers in betweeen. Dahibhat with the achaar(pickle) is just....heaven. Another special dish is their Adai(dosa like dish). They also serve thalis that are not too heavy on the pocket and more importantly the stomach.
The service is quick and effecient. I am not sure whether they accept credit-cards, sorry.
The one downside to go alongwith all the great food is the lack of an airconditioned section, altho' I dont mind it too much.
