The Basic difference is with Dolphin you can have roaming services as well as it works outside your city limit, where as Garuda you can not have roaming services and it does not work out of your city area.
Like Dolphin works upto Panvel without having roaming services where as Garuda works upto Vashi Check Post.
For Dolphin u have to pay to all the incoming calls @Rs. .70 for 30 sec, in Garuda u are not paying anything other than rent for any incoming.
Currently Dolphin services are improved than what it was earlier, Garuda is still to be improved in case of Signal.
The instrument wise also Dolphin gives u more choices, Garuda is having a few choices.
The network of Garuda is depend on the handset. The cheaper one does not get signal at certain locations where as the costlier gets signal at the same location.
If your Dolphin is switch off or not reachable the calling party get the message. In Garuda if you are not getting network still the calling party hears the bell which they assumes that you are not willing to pick up the phone call.
On Dolphin u gets the caller party's tel no. on Garuda this service is still not available.
SMS is supported with Dolphin where as there is no SMS on Garuda.
But Garuda is comming out with strong network and with SMS and Caller ID facilities in next 2 months
*Now MTNL has started again this services. They are giving the handset on the spot. It came to know that now they are not going to provide replacement to the handset at the moment you get it for repaired. It was there earlier. Instead of that they will find out the reason why the instrument is not working. If the instrument is mishandled then you have to pay Rs. 10,000/- towards the instrument cost to MTNL.
