Hi Friends,
I watched the premire show of garam masala. Its a total waste of money. The script, dialogues are very lacking. Repeatative jokes and total slapstick stuff. Definitely avoidable. However if u enjoyed the loud jokes in 'Hulchul', then u may even want to watch 'Garam masala'. The promos looked very enticing but the movie isn't anywhere upto the mark.
Its a story of 2 friends (Akshay and John) who try multi-timing with a 2 or more girls at the same time. Thats just about it when it comes to the story.
It looks like a low budget movie, where the only objective of the producer is to mint money. Half of the movie has indoor shots of Akshay-John's house.
I had gone to watch it with a friends and nobody liked it. I hope Priyadarshan revives hi Hera Phera magic soon, else nobody will want to watch his movies anymore.
John has gud acting talent even when it comes to comedy. He should be picked by directors more often for similar kind of roles. Paresh rawal was under-utilised. Rajpal Yadav needs to evolve more as an actor. Maybe he should try his hand at serious roles.
