GKNM Hospital is a completely money minded hospital. From my experience, I would suggest to go with other best hospital for cancer treatment especially blood and bone marrow cancer.
My baby is no more with us; she’s just 6 years old, diagnosed with cancer. We took initial checkup all treatment from G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore.
My baby chemo treatment was started here at 2018 under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Karthik from oncology department. This treatment was taken almost 1-year chemo and 2+ years monthly regular checkup. After 3 years, in 2021 the same doctor said cancer relapsed for baby and immediately to start heavy chemo. Approximately it took 25 to 35 lakhs based on the package of chemo. After the poor treatment and no expertise from Mr. Dr. Karthik, we lost my child at GKNM.
I would like to mention a few doctors who have a bad behavior and not to give a proper diagnosis for cancer treatment. Dr. Mr. Karthik and Mr. Rajith Ramachandran from Palliative Care.
In the palliative care department, they don’t know what medicine and treatment to be given for patients who came to palliative. They have pre-written medicine in their devices. Mr. Rajith Ramachandran has poor knowledge and doesn’t know how to speak and behave to patients and attendees. As discussed with other attendees, they said Rajith talk is so bad and seems to be in violent. He doesn’t know the humanity.
I raised the complaint to the concerned department. Still they didn’t take any action or enquiry from the respective doctors. Even we didn’t get any call from the GKNM hospital for complaint related query.
There’s no humanity and professional care from GKNM hospital. They’re not capable and no advanced facilities in Oncology department like pediatric hematology and stem cell transplant.
All these are creating poor treatment and careless for all. People come to the hospital for their treatment but this poor analysis and progression seems people will be falling ill rather than getting cured.
I request to management team for taking legal action to the unfit doctors or consultants. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO ANY CHILD AGAIN WHO CAME TO CANCER TREATEMENT. Please don’t play with any baby or child who diagnosed with blood and bone marrow cancer. If doctor or consultant not aware of the treatment, you should say to attendees to go better hospital or find best one.
I hope that this letter will serve to act as an eye-opener for hospital because if you do not act even after this then there would be nothing at the hospital that you are trying to sustain or satisfy the patients.
